Open the Navigation Bar and click on 'Clients', then from the dropdown menu, select 'Private Clients':
This will take you to the Private Clients page. Here you can search for clients by their name and/or email address:
To edit their Private Client record, click on the eye icon in the 'Links' section to the left-hand side of the screen:
Once you have accessed the Private Client's CRM record, click on the heading for ‘Assets':
Once you have clicked the 'Add Asset' button, a new page will open with editable fields allowing you to add the relevant information to the new asset.
The 'General Info' section contains the core asset details including status, ownership, valuation and relevant tags.
Fields that have a red asterisk against them are mandatory fields and will require a value to be entered before the asset can be saved:
The 'Shell Ownership' and 'Shell Clients' fields will need to be added to the asset to associate it with a client record. By default they will be populated as being individually owned by the client:
To edit the 'Shell Ownership' and/or 'Shell Clients' fields, click on the pencil icon to the right-hand side of the 'Shell Ownership' field:
Once you have clicked the pencil icon, the below pop-up will appear:
The asset’s ‘Shell Ownership’ can be selected from a dropdown list of options depending on how many owners the asset has. e.g. individually owned, joint ownership, scheme owned, or trust owned.
Within the 'Shell Clients' section, you would need to search for the client via their email address and select the client from the dropdown menu. You will then need to allocate a percentage to the client depending whether they fully own the asset in which case it should be 100%, or 50% if a jointly held asset with another client. You would need to search for the joint client in the 'Select Client' lookup:
Press 'Update' once you have finished setting up the 'Shell Ownership' and 'Shell Clients' fields.
The 'Linked Items' section displays associated entities such as cases, tasks, as well as income, liabilities, and plans:
The 'Extended Data' section allows for custom, user-defined configuration of additional data sets and fields which are grouped by category:
To add an extended data field, click on the 'Add Extended Data' button:
Once you have created and saved your new asset, any edits or amendments to the asset will be shown in the 'History' section.
To view the asset and access the 'History' section, click on the eye icon on the right-hand side of the asset:
Once you have clicked the eye icon, you will be able to view the asset's details, and the 'History' section will be visible:
To edit an asset, click on the 'Edit' button:
Once you have finished making your updates, click the 'Update' button:
