Once you have clicked the 'Add Liability' button, a new page will open with editable fields allowing you to add the relevant information to the new liability record.

General Info:

The 'General Info' section contains the fields that determine the basic details of the liability record.

Fields that have a red asterisk against them are mandatory fields and will require a value to be entered before the liability can be saved:

General:

The 'Shell Ownership' and 'Shell Clients' fields will need to be added to the liability to associate it with a client record. By default they will be populated as being individually owned by the client.

To edit the 'Shell Ownership' and/or 'Shell Clients' fields, click on the pencil icon to the right-hand side of the 'Shell Ownership' field:

Once you have clicked the pencil icon, the below pop-up will appear:

The liability’s ‘Shell Ownership’ can be selected from a dropdown list of options depending on how many owners the liability has. e.g. individually owned, joint ownership, scheme owned, or trust owned.

Within the 'Shell Clients' section, you would need to search for the client via their email address and select the client from the dropdown menu. You will then need to allocate a percentage to the client depending whether they fully own the liability in which case it should be 100%, or 50% if a jointly held liability with another client. You would need to search for the joint client in the 'Client' lookup:

Press 'Update' once you have finished setting up the 'Shell Ownership' and 'Shell Clients' fields.
