Centology Portal - Connections

The Connections page is used to link separate client accounts together for Partner, Trustee, or Lasting Power of Attorney access.

Accessing The Connections Page:

Step 1:

Open the Navigation Bar and click on 'Clients', then from the dropdown menu, select 'Connections': 


Step 2:

This will take you to the Connections page. Here you can look up and edit pre-existing connections, as well as set new ones up:

Setting Up New Connections:

Step 1:

Click the 'Add New' button:


Step 2:

Enter the 'Connection Name' and 'Connection Type':


Step 3:

Next, enter the names of the Portal records you wish to connect. To add extra connected clients click the option for 'Add New':


Ensure that the 'Access' button is switched 'On' for the clients that you wish to be able to access the connected records.


For example in the image above, Aaron Demo would be able to access The Demo Trust but The Demo Trust would not be able to access Aaron's Portal record.

Step 4:

Once you have finished setting up the Connection record, click the 'Save' button:


Step 5:

To check whether a Connection has been set up properly, open the Navigation Bar and click on 'Clients', then from the dropdown menu, select 'Private Clients': 


Step 6:

This will take you to the 'Private Clients' page. Here you can search for clients by their name and/or email address:


To sign in as the client and view their Private Client record, click on the piggy-bank icon in the 'Links' section to the left-hand side of the screen: 


Alternatively, you can also use the 'Sign in' button to the right-hand side of the screen:


Step 7:

Once you accessed the Private Client record, clicking on the client's initial within the blue circle in the top right-hand corner of the Portal record should generate a dropdown menu, select the option for 'Profile':



Step 8:

Here you can see the accounts that your client is connected to:


Editing Existing Connections:

Step 1:

Once on the Connections page, click on the pencil icon to the left-hand side of the Connection record to edit it:


Step 2:

Once you have finished editing the Connection record, click the 'Update' button:


Deleting Connections:

Step 1:

Once on the Connections page, click on the bin icon to the left-hand side of the Connection record to delete it:
